HANOVER, N.H. – In a showdown between the top two teams in the Rolfe Division standings of the Ivy League, Dartmouth posted a pair of 5-2 victories on Saturday afternoon over the visiting Brown Bears (12-14-1, 7-3 Ivy) to extend its winning streak to 12 games and remain unblemished in conference play. The Big Green (13-9, 10-0 Ivy) got a gutty pitching performance by junior Robert Young (Cleburne, Texas) in the opener of the four-game series, while junior Ben Murray (Grants Pass, Ore.) tossed an efficient eight innings in game two. KENNESAW, Ga. – Junior Barrett Stover (Durham, N.C./Lenoir C.C.) allowed two hits in his first six innings of work, but a four-run seventh inning helped lift Kennesaw State to a 5-0 win over the USC Upstate baseball team in the second game of an Atlantic Sun Conference doubleheader at Stillwell Stadium on Saturday. The Owls took the first game, 10-6, to help the first-place team stay at the top of the A-Sun with the sweep of Upstate.

HOUSTON, Texas – Robbie Buller’s bases loaded, one out double in the bottom of the ninth pushed two runs across to give the HBU baseball team a 12-11 victory for a four-game sweep of Northern Colorado on Saturday afternoon at Husky Field.

The scoring started early, with Northern Colorado pushing a single run across with a leadoff single, a stolen base and a double. HBU quickly answered in the bottom half of the inning as Nick Homan led things off with a single. Two outs later, Andrew Taccolini drove his fifth home run of the season over the left field wall to put the Huskies ahead, 2-1.

The Warning Track with Brian Foley checks in today with some of the best action from Friday night.

The first story of the night was Kent State’s Brad Stillings (TCBB 40th Best Player) twirling a nine inning no-hitter against Toledo as the Golden Flashes picked up a 1-0 victory over MAC rival Toledo. Stillings went nine innings without walking anyone and only a second inning error kept him from getting a perfect game.
