AUSTIN, Texas – Drew Biery’s two-run single in the top of the eighth gave Kansas State a 6-5 lead, but Texas escaped a weekend sweep by plating the tying run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth as the 23rd-ranked Wildcats and second-ranked Longhorns ended Sunday’s game tied 6-6 due to the Big 12 travel rule.

After the dramatic eighth and ninth innings, both teams went down in order in the 10th before the game was called to accommodate Kansas State’s travel plans.

Kansas State now stands at 31-11-1 overall and 10-7-1 in the Big 12 Conference. With the tie, Texas holds a 29-11-1 record overall and a 12-8-1 mark in Big 12 play.

#14 Oklahoma 11 #15 Baylor 8

WACO, Texas — Sweeping a three-game series in the Big 12 Conference is not easy, especially on the road. After winning games one and two at No. 9 Baylor on Friday and Saturday, No. 13 Oklahoma accomplished the feat after it scored eight unanswered runs to come from behind on Sunday for an 11-8 win.

The conference sweep was the first for OU (33-11, 11-7) since taking three from Texas Tech in Lubbock in 2006. The 0-3 weekend for the Bears (25-17, 10-10) was just their third at home since 1998 (Oklahoma State, UC Irvine and Arizona State also completed sweeps).

One week after getting swept at Texas and dropping out of first place into a tie for fourth, OU jumped into second place with the series win.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Kyle Colligan and Joe Patterson each hit home runs, and Brodie Greene added a key two-run double, to lead No. 16 Texas A&M to a 6-4 win over No. 25 Oklahoma State Sunday afternoon before 4,287 fans at Olsen Field.

The Aggies (28-15, 13-8 Big 12) took over sole possession of first place in the conference standings with their fourth league series win of the year. Oklahoma State (28-17, 6-11) dropped its second game in a row after claiming Friday night’s series opener.

A&M scored in the first off OSU starter Tyler Blandford. The Aggies led off the frame with back-to-back singles, and loaded the bases one out later on a walk. Blandford was called for a balk on a pitch to the next batter, Kevin Gonzalez, and Greene trotted home with the game’s first run.

Kyle Colligan extended the lead in the third. With one out, and following a Luke Anders single, Colligan launched his ninth home run of the year high over the scoreboard in left center to make the score 3-0. One out later, Joe Patterson put a 2-0 pitch off the batter’s eye in center field to push the lead to four.

Trailing 4-3 going into the bottom of the seventh, Casey Lytle started the Kansas rally with a seeing-eye-single between short and third, then moved to second on Elgie’s base hit.
