Here is your Ivy League Recap for April 25th.

Game 1: Dartmouth 14 Harvard 2 (7 innings)
Game 2: Harvard 6 Dartmouth 4 (10 innings)

HANOVER, N.H. -A nine-run second inning allowed Dartmouth to cruise to a 14-2 victory in the first game of a doubleheader before falling to Harvard in game two in 10 innings, 6-4, in front of 1,237 fans at Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park on Senior Day. Coupled with Brown’s doubleheader split at Yale this afternoon, the Big Green (21-12, 15-3 Ivy) have clinched at least a share of the Rolfe Division crown as they own a two-game lead on the Bears with two to play.

Sophomore Jeff Onstott (Houston, Texas) was 3-for-4 in the opener with a single, double, triple and four RBIs, while senior Johnathon Santopadre (Vacaville, Calif.) and junior Brett Gardner (Bellevue, Wash.) each homered during the nine-run outburst. It equaled the largest inning this season for the Ivy’s leading offense, averaging over nine runs per conference game.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A quartet of seniors stepped onto the diamond at historic Yale Field for the final time on Saturday when the Yale baseball team hosted a twin bill against Ivy League foe Brown. After dropping a tough 3-1 decision to the Bears in game one of the doubleheader, solid pitching from sophomore Vinny Lally and freshman Pat Ludwig combined with a five-run seventh inning highlighted by a three-run double off of the bat of junior Trygg Larsson-Danforth ensured that the Bulldogs’ seniors left Yale Field as winners with a 6-2 victory.

With the split, Yale moved to 13-22 overall and 7-11 in Ivy League play. Brown moves to 20-18-1 on the season with a 13-5 mark in the Ancient Eight.
