The College Baseball Blog Players of the Week (April 22nd)

mccallumThe College Baseball Blog would like to announce that Minnesota second baseman Derek McCallum as our Player of the Week while Brett Eibner of Arkansas as our Pitcher of the Week.

Derek McCallum of Minnesota had an outstanding week for the Minnesota Golden Gophers as he led them to a 3-2 week. He had a .636 average (14-22) in the five games as he scored nine runs including six homers and 20 RBI. He finished the week with a slugging percentage of 1.636.

Brett Eibner of Arkansas had an outstanding week making two starts. He made a mid-week start against Louisiana-Monroe due to a cancellation in SEC where he went three innings giving up two runs on five hits. The signature performance for the week was a complete game effort against Georgia on Sunday where he only allowed one hit while striking out 12 batters.
