Game 1: Louisville 1 Pittsburgh 0 (8 innings)
Game 2: Louisville 3 Pittsburgh 2 (10 innings)

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Nate Holland’s RBI single in the 10th inning capped the Louisville baseball team’s 3-2 comeback win over Pittsburgh and clinched a BIG EAST series sweep over the Panthers on Saturday afternoon at Jim Patterson Stadium.

With the game tied at 2-2 in the bottom of the 10th and junior second baseman Adam Duvall on second base, Holland, a sophomore outfielder from Louisville’s Trinity High School, sent the 2-1 pitch from Pittsburgh reliever Nathan Hood through the left side of the infield and into left field to score Duvall for Louisville (24-9, 8-4 BIG EAST), which trailed 2-0 entering the eighth inning. Duvall, who reached base in the 10th with a walk, had moved into scoring position on a balk by Hood to setup the Cards’ 16th comeback win of the season and their 20th home victory in 22 games.

The Wildcats won the final two games of the series after falling in extra innings in the opener.
