College Baseball Blog fans involved in Adenhart Crash

As most of our readers know, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim starting pitcher Nick Adenhart was killed in a car crash early Thursday morning after having a tremendous outing against the Oakland A’s. His vechicle was hit by a suspected drunk driver which killed Nick Adenhart, Courtney Stewart, and Harry Pearson. The fourth person in the vehicle in Jon Wilhite who is currently in ICU but conscious. Wilhite played baseball for Cal-State Fullerton from 2004-2008. The reason I bring this to your attention is that Pearson and Wilhite are listed as members of our website’s Facebook group so they must have been fans of the site.

Assistant Editor Mark Rafferty has sent along a link to a great article about how Cal-State Fullerton was dealing with the accident as many players on the team are very close with Jon Wilhite. You should check out the article by clicking here.

I found a great link from a blog called Sharapova’s Thigh where the writer was actually close friends with Mr. Pearson. The full article can be read by clicking here.

The College Baseball Blog staff hopes you can keep Jon in your thoughts, as all of us here are pulling for him to make it out of this.
