NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Columbia outscored Yale 13-9 to win the opener of Saturday’s doubleheader before using timely hitting and solid relief pitching to complete the doubleheader sweep with an 8-6 win in game two.
Game 1: Harvard 6 Cornell 5
Game 2: Harvard 7 Cornell 5
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Taylor Meehan and Tom Stack-Babich delivered walk-off home runs as Harvard swept an Ivy League doubleheader from Cornell Saturday at O’Donnell Field. Meehan delivered a three-run homer in the first game to give the Crimson a 6-5 victory and stack-Babich launched a two-run homer in the nightcap to give the Crimson a 7-5 victory.
Harvard came back from deficits of five and four runs, respectively to win while improving to 4-2 in the league while Cornell dips to 2-4 in Ivy play. Harvard returns home on Sunday with a pair of games against Princeton starting at noon.

Game 2: Brown 18 Penn 11
Providence, R.I. – Senior Rob Papenhause (Hillsborough, CA) enjoyed a tremendous offensive day, leading the Bears to a pair of high-scoring Ivy League wins. Papenhause was four-for-four with seven RBI’s, three home runs, and four walks, and Brown knocked off the Quakers 9-8 and 18-11. With the wins, the Bears improve to 9-12-1 overall and 5-1 in league play, while Penn falls to 10-14 and 0-6.
The first game was a thriller, as the lead changed constantly on a stream of home runs, as the wind was blowing out for the entire contest. Papenhause started off the scoring with a solo home run, giving Brown the early 1-0 lead through two. The Quakers answered in the third, picking up four runs of their own on a grand slam to regain the lead.

Game 1: Dartmouth 4 Princeton 1
Game 2: Dartmouth 8 Princeton 5
HANOVER, N.H. — Junior Robert Young (Cleburne, Texas) stymied the Princeton bats in a complete-game four-hitter in the first game of a doubleheader, and six different hitters drove in runs in the second game — all with two out — as the host Dartmouth Big Green swept the Tigers at Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park on Saturday afternoon, 4-1 and 8-5. Dartmouth (8-9, 6-0 Ivy) has won seven straight, equaling its longest winning streak since ripping off 12 consecutive victories in 2001. Princeton fell to 8-12 overall and 1-5 in the conference, plus has lost five in a row.
Young (2-2) was dialed in on the mound in the opener, allowing just four hits and the one run in his seven-inning outing while walking two and striking out seven, the most by a Big Green hurler this year. He was rarely in trouble and made just one mistake which Tiger catcher Jack Murphy turned into an RBI double with two outs in the first. Young proceeded to retire the next 10 hitters before the first two runners reached base in the fifth. But he quickly induced a double play and got a pop to third to end the threat.
