Louisville 13 Cincinnati 3

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Junior second baseman Adam Duvall went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI, while junior lefty Justin Marks picked up his 22nd career win as the Louisville baseball team rolled to a 13-3 BIG EAST Conference win over Cincinnati on Friday night at Marge Schott Stadium.

Duvall, a Louisville native, started the scoring for the Cardinals (19-8, 4-3 BIG EAST) in the third inning with a two-run homer, his third home run this season, and added a two-run double in Louisville’s seven-run fourth inning to give Marks more than enough run-support. Marks, from Owensboro, Ky., allowed only three runs on five hits with nine strikeouts in 6.0 innings to improve to 4-2 on the season and move into a tie for first place on the Cards’ all-time win list with Brian Bentley (1997-2000). The All-American is now 22-6 in his career at Louisville with 233 strikeouts in 237.2 innings with an ERA of only 2.69.
