CAA BASEBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Chris Henderson, George Mason

Jr., C, Marlton, N.J./Cherokee

Henderson batted .440 with five doubles, a triple, a homer, four RBI and six runs scored as George Mason went 5-1 last week. He hit .615 (8-13) as the Patriots won two of three at CAA foe ODU, including becoming just the second player in school history to hit for the cycle in Saturday’s 4-2 triumph. Jordan Kreke, SS/P • Sr., 6-2, 200 • Bartelso, Ill. • Eastern Illinois
In five games last week, Kreke hit .579 (11-for-19) with seven runs scored, a double, triple, three home runs and 12 RBI as the Panthers compiled a 4-1 record. Sun Belt Conference Baseball Player/Pitcher of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana-Lafayette’s Les Smith and South Alabama’s Matt Jackson have been named the Sun Belt Conference Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, as decided on by the league’s member institutions. The award marks the second this season for Jackson, as the Jaguars ace also earned the award the first week of the season, Feb. 23.

Texas-Dallas senior outfielder Jared Smith (New Caney, TX / Tyler JC) went 7-for-15 with three home runs, two doubles and 12 RBIs over four games. Missouri Valley Conference Players of the Week

Brayden Drake, Missouri State, 3B, Sr., Webb City, Mo. (Webb City)

Senior Brayden Drake extended his school record hitting streak to 29 games after hitting .611 with three home runs and 14 RBIs in five Missouri State victories. Drake added two doubles for a 1.222 slugging percentage, reached base two-thirds of the time and scored seven runs. He had multiple RBIs in all five games and at least two hits in four contests. MAC Players of the Week (March 23rd)

Eldemire started all three games this weekend vs. Central Michigan and crushed three home runs, including his first-career multi-homer game Sunday when he hit a three-run bomb in the second frame and his first-career grand slam the following inning. McCann hit .750 (12-14), drove in eight RBI and blasted two home runs, leading the Jaspers to four wins last week. He posted a 1.438 slugging percentage and .810 on-base percentage. McCann began the week batting 2-for-4 with two RBI in a 11-4 victory at BIG EAST member Seton Hall on Wednesday.   • Henry continued to be a key component in the Rebel offense and critical to the Rebels posting a second straight series win in SEC play as he reached base safely in every game this week from the lead-off position … Henry was 7-for-17 with a team-leading seven runs scored and a team-leading five RBI on he week … He was also 5-for-6 in steal attempts.
