I have been to quite a few games at UFCU Disch Falk Field and I have been fortunate enough to see two other No-Hitters, one was back in 2005 against Oklahoma when Adrian Alaniz picked one up in a 4-0 victory and the other one was last season in a mid-week contest against Texas State where Kenn Kasparek mowed the Bobcats down.

I went in to this game watching to see how Workman was going to attack the zone and I was not expecting to see what I saw. Workman was inconsistent in the early going working the count full a couple of time but the defense came to play today. Each time a runner was on base (three total- 2 walks and an error) catcher Cameron Rupp had a plan on keeping track of these runners. One PSU runner was set down on a strike-em out throw-em out double play. The next time Rupp just flat out nailed the runner going to 2nd. The defense also turned in a nice double play to keep the Penn State off the scoreboard.

It was not just all Workman doing the work as the Offense did a very nice job of moving the runners over and picking up the batter if  they failed to do the job.

It was a great day to be at UFCU Disch Falk Field.
