Here is your ACC Recap for March 31st.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released the Pro-Line Athletic National Player of the Week awards for the period ending March 29, today. Georgia junior first baseman Rich Poythress was named National Hitter of the Week, while Coastal Carolina sophomore left-hander Cody Wheeler was named National Pitcher of the Week. The NCBWA Board reviews candidates from each Division I Conference each week and names winners each Tuesday throughout the season.
Stephen Strasburg entered the 2009 campaign as the top player in the country by many publications including this one. (
Eric Deragisch’s bat lifted UC Irvine to a 4-1 week, including a three-game sweep over then-ranked No. 12 Cal Poly, to earn Big West Player of the Week honors, while UC Riverside’s Paul Bargas picked up Big West Pitcher of the Week accolades after a strong showing on the mound that resulted in a 3-1 victory over top-ranked Cal State Fullerton.
