RINDGE, N.H. (February 10, 2009) – The Franklin Pierce University baseball team has been selected as the unanimous favorite in the Northeast-10 Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll, as announced Tuesday by the conference office. The Ravens collected all 13 first-place votes and finished with a perfect 169 points.
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — For the second year in a row, Jacksonville State has been picked as the preseason favorite for the nine-team league in a vote of Ohio Valley Conference head baseball coaches. The Gamecocks claimed the 2008 regular season championship with a 23-4 record last season but came up just short in the OVC Tournament. 

WINTER PARK, Fla. – After being named to the top spot in the national poll earlier this afternoon, the No. 1 University of Tampa Spartans took down Sunshine State Conference opponent Rollins College by a score of 9-2 on Tuesday night in Winter Park. With the win, Tampa improves to 5-0 on the season, while the Tars drop to 3-3.
