Dustin Ackley and North Carolina leads our Top 25

The College Baseball Blog asked a few of our writers to put together a Top 25 for the upcoming season a few weeks back. When the results came together, the North Carolina Tar Heels came out on top with LSU in the second spot. The rest of the top five is filled out by Georgia, Stanford, and Rice. The San Diego Toreros come in at the sixth spot even though they lost ace pitcher Brian Matusz. FSU Seminoles are the 7th team in countdown will be replacing All-American catcher Buster Posey who won several national awards last season. Texas A&M are 8th in the countdown as we have a few more questions about the Aggies pitching staff then Baseball America believes as BA has them number 1 in their countdown. The Baylor Bears are ninth in the countdown as their outstanding recruiting class is now juniors. The top ten is finished with Ole Miss who will have Jordan Henry and Scott Bittle looking to carry the Rebels to the College World Series. You can check out the rest of the top 25 below.

Brian, don’t know what you’re smoking on the SEC East Teams.

Likely order in the SEC East (which always ends up being discombobulated) or at least the preseason talent order should be:
Florida
Georgia
Vandy
Tennessee
South Carolina
Kentucky

I just don’t know how you have UF so low, UGA that high and Kentucky on there at all.
