Defending champion and #1-ranked Lewis-Clark State opens their season hosting a tournament with College of Idaho, Concordia-Portland, Corban, and Patten Feb. 13-16.

#2 Lee started their season 5-0, including a 10-3 win over Tennessee Wesleyan. They host Virginia Intermont Feb. 13-14.

#3 Oklahoma City started the season 3-0. They host Missouri Baptist (ranked #21 by Collegiate Baseball) Feb. 13-14.

#4 Biola has had a week of rainouts, and a game suspended by darknesss. Their record remains 1-4. They travel to Point Loma Nazarene Feb. 14, and host CS Dominguez Hill Feb. 12.

#5 Embry-Riddle is 2-4, with two losses at Auburn-Montgomery. They travel to Florida Memorial Feb. 13-14.

#7 U. of the Cumberlands and #9 Union (KY) were tied 12-12 after nine innings. The game was suspended due to darkness, and will be resumed at a later date. U. of the Cumberlands travels to Shorter Feb. 13-14. Union is 2-0. The Bulldogs host Taylor Feb. 14, Goshen Feb. 15, and Lindsey Wilson Feb. 17.

#8 Lubbock Christian started the season 4-0. They travel to Texas Wesleyan Feb. 14, and Graceland Feb. 15.

#10 LSU-Shreveport is now 9-1. C Andrew Brouillette leads the Pilots in hitting at .515, and 1B Brent Lavallee has seven home runs. LHP Justin Ennis is 3-0, 1.29 ERA, 21 strikeouts, and two complete games. They host William Carey Feb. 13-14.

Azusa Pacific is now 7-1.Their first loss was 3-1 at The Master’s. RHP/SS Joe Zeller pitched a complete game for The Master’s, batted in two runs, held the Cougars to six hits, and struck out 11. Zeller is .429 at the plate for the season. They travel to Concordia-Irvine Feb. 14, and host CS San Marcos Feb. 17.

Cal Baptist is 8-1. Freshman LHP Taylor Siemens is 2-0, 1.89 ERA for the Lancers. 1B Drake Fages is batting .500. They host Westmont Feb. 14, and CS Los Angeles Feb. 17.

Savannah College of Art and Design is 7-1. They started the season with a no-hitter by RHP Eddie Anderson against Calumet on Jan. 30; the game was shortened to five innings by the mercy rule. Anderson is 2-0, 3.75 ERA for the season, and freshman RHP Joe Kase is 2-0, 1.80 ERA. IF/C Mark Stewart Jr. leads the Bees in hitting at .520. The Bees travel to Webber International Feb. 13-14, and host Flagler Feb. 17.

Lewis-Clark State lost their opener to Concordia-Portland, This was Concordia-Portland’s first-ever win over the Warriors, after 41 losses. Story at http://www.lcsc.edu/athletics/Baseball/2009/Press_Releases/viewNews.asp?ID=247

The Warriors had no trouble with Patten today, winning 11-3. They had an 8-1 lead after three innings.
