ULM Baseball Opens Practice

MONROE, La.—The defending Sun Belt Conference Champion ULM baseball team opened up practice for the 2009 season on Sunday afternoon. Preseason camp will continue until the Warhawks open the season on Feb. 20 against Northwestern State.

“It was a good day,” head coach Jeff Schexnaider said. “Everyone was excited and the energy level was really high. The pitchers enjoyed throwing against hitters instead of just in the bullpen and the hitters enjoyed hitting off of someone other than our coaches. It was a solid opening day and I am looking forward to the rest of camp to see where we are at.” FULL STORY
