All home games will be played at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.

“Our 2009 Baseball schedule is extremely competitive. With games scheduled versus Texas Tech, Alabama, Texas Christian, Houston, New Mexico State, and Notre Dame the 2009 season should prove to be an exciting one,” said head coach Manny Mantrana. “Our players and coaching staff are looking forward to the challenge of playing and competing against these great programs.”

The season kicks off on the road as the Broncs face the Red Raiders of Texas Tech on February 20. Bronc fans have their first chance to see the Broncs in action at home at the Al Ogletree Classic on February 27th against Illinois with game time slated for 7:00 p.m.

After the Al Ogletree Classic, the Broncs face Texas A&M-Corps Christi (TAMUCC) on March 3, before hitting the road once again as they travel up the road to Corpus Christi to partake in the Whataburger Classic with their first game against Alabama on March 6. At the completion of the Whataburger Classic, the Broncs pack their bags and head to San Antonio for the Notre Dame Classic with games beginning on March 13 running through March 15.

One day following the Notre Dame Classic, the Broncs open a five-game home stand with two games against Jackson State and three against Prairie View-A&M. The Broncs then head north to face the University of Texas-San Antonio (UTSA) for a single game before returning back home to face New Mexico State in a three-game series starting on March 26.

The Broncs then head to Lamar University for a double-header on March 31, and three days later, they face the University of Houston for a three-game series before returning to Edinburg to open a four-game home stand against the University of Texas-Brownsville (UTB) and Texas Christian University.

Next up for the Broncs is a one game date on April 15 with Stephen F. Austin on the road in Nacogdoches and the Broncs then turnaround and head back home to face Texas Southern, UTSA, and UTB for a five game home stand over four-day span. With travel not quite done yet in the month of April, the Broncs face Prairie View- A&M for a two-game series on April 25-26. The Broncs final home game of the regular season is a one game event with TAMUCC on April 29.
