Levi Michael joining UNC early

USA Today has put out an interesting article about High School players leaving school at the end of the fall semester for the start of the college semester in the spring. The reason why we are seeing this is the fact that the player will be eligible to play in the 2009 season. The biggest recent name to do this was Robert Stock out of Southern California. He was projected to be picked in the Top 5 in that years draft but decided to go to college at the age of 17. He has had a mediocre two years with the Trojans without making a major impact. The latest move is by Levi Mitchell out of North Davidson (Lexington, NC) High School who will be joining the North Carolina team in the coming spring.
