Six teams announce 2009 College Baseball Schedules

Manhattan College

Head Coach Kevin Leighton and the Jaspers of Manhattan College open the 2009 campaign with trip to Stillwater Oklahoma to take part in a Tournament where they will play 4 games with a double header on Saturday. The Jaspers play the first 22 game of the season on the road. Their first home game is not until April 1 where they will play Albany College in a single game tilt.

The Following weekend the Jaspers open up conference play at home against Marist College.

2009 College Baseball Schedule-Manhattan College

Winthrop Eagles

Winthrop head baseball coach Joe Hudak has announced the Eagles will play a 55-game schedule in 2009, including 30 home games and road trips to Pac-10 powerhouses Southern California and Arizona State, and 2008 College World Series runner-up Georgia.

Kansas State Wildcats

Over 30 home games, including 13 against teams that advanced to the 2008 NCAA Tournament, highlights a 56-game slate as the 2009 Kansas State baseball schedule was announced by head coach Brad Hill on Thursday.

Kansas State will play 31 home games, the most since 2006 when the Wildcats also hosted 31 contests. K-State will face 10 squads in 2009 that advanced to the 2008 NCAA Tournament, repeating the trend from 2008 as the Wildcats faced 10 squads that made the 2007 tournament.

FSU Baseball Announces 2009 Schedule

Florida State baseball announced on Thursday, September 11 the 56-game schedule for the 2009 season. The Seminoles will open the season inside the friendly confines of Dick Howser Stadium on Mike Martin Field with a four-game set against the Hofstra Pride beginning Friday, February 20.

Nine teams on this year’s schedule recorded 30 or more wins a season ago. Six schools earned a bid to participate in the NCAA Regional in 2008, while four teams finished last year ranked in the top 25.

2009 College Baseball Schedule- Florida State

UC-Santa Barbara

Head Coach Bob Brontsema and the Gauchos start the 2009 season on the road in Minnesota playing their tournament. The Gauchos return home to play UCLA in a single game on the 24th of February.

The Gouchos open the Big West Conference on the road against Cal State Northridge starting on March 27th. They will end the regular season with a home series against Conference foe UC-Irvine on May 22nd.

2009 College Baseball Schedule- UC-Santa Barbara

Jacksonville University

The Jacksonville Dolphins will open the 2009 season with a three game set at intrastate rival Florida International. They will return home for the next weekend where they will play a TBA opponent in the Jacksonville University Invitational (Participants are undetermined at press time). They will open up Atlantic Sun play on March 6th-8th with a visit from North Florida. Atlantic Sun members Stetson, USC Upstate, Campbell and Lipscomb will make visits to Jacksonville. The Dolphins will face conference opponents Florida Gulf Coast, Belmont, East Tennessee State, Kennesaw State, and Mercer.
