Dustin Ackley of North Carolina underwent surgery last month on his right elbow to alleviate pain. He has been one of the top players in the nation the last two years including being named the consensus freshman of the year in the 2007 season. He is expected to be one of the top picks in the upcoming 2009 draft after trying to lead the North Carolina Tar Heels back to Omaha for the fourth straight year.
