Baseball Program Holds 11th Annual Bullpen Golf Outing. Event raised nearly $40,000 for the baseball program.

QUEENS, N.Y. – The St. John’s baseball program hosted its 11th annual Bullpen Golf Outing at Pelham Country Club in Pelham Manor, N.Y., on July 28. The event, with title sponsor Chartwells, raised over $40,000 to benefit the Red Storm baseball program.

UC Davis Baseball Signs Three Transfers For 2009 Season

UC Davis head baseball coach Rex Peters has signed transfers Matthew Lewis and Tim Busbin to a National Letter of Intent during the spring signing period. In addition, Jared Thompson has signed a grant-in-aid agreement. All three are expected to enroll at UC Davis beginning in the fall of 2008. Full Story

Gaucho Recruit Joe Gardner Selected Alaska Baseball League co-Player of the Year

Joe Gardner, a right handed pitcher who will join the UC Santa Barbara baseball team for the 2009 season, has been selected co-Player of the Year in the Alaska Summer Baseball League, it was announced this week. Full Story

Several members of the Nicholls baseball team have spent their summers playing for summer league teams throughout the Southeast.

Most fans know that student-athletes work throughout the school year to improve themselves on the field, but few realize that these athletes also spend most of the summer working out and playing in summer leagues to stay at the top of their game. Full Story
