David Murphy benefit scheduled

David MurphyDavid Murphy, a freshman infielder for the Houston Cougars has been diagnosed with acute lymphoid leukemia in September. He has been undergoing treatments since that day including chemotherapy at Texas Children’s Hospital. Murphy though participated in many of the Fall practices including hitting a home run in an intrasquad scrimmage.

The Houston Cougars and David Murphy will be hosting a benefit this weekend which includes a clinic, silent auction, and All Star/Participant Exhibition Game. The event will take place in Beaumont TX at the SETX Baseball Academy at the Ford Park Baseball Fields.
