Stephen Halford, who is a transfer from UNC-Wilmington, has been dismissed from the FSU baseball program after a violation of team rules. Halford was expected to compete for the starting spot at third base in the 2008 season as Jason Stidham is rehabbing from off-season knee surgery. Stidham is expected to get moved to second base when he recovers. Steven Cardullo is expected to get a serious look at third base this fall and could start in 2008 at the spot.
