Alex White is on the mound for North Carolina and for Rice it is Joe Savery. It is in the top of the 2ND and Rice has grabbed a 4-0 lead. Alex White has just been pulled from the game after giving up 4 runs. He left the game with runners on 2ND and 3rd with 1 out.
Rice bats continue to show that they have come to OMAHA with an agenda. It is now 9-2 as North Carolina come to bat in the bottom of the 4th.

No matter the vantage point, whether from the dugouts or the press box, Rosenblatt Stadium bears no resemblance to Clark-LeClair Stadium.
At this juncture, it might be next to impossible to convince top-ranked Rice of that.
In a fashion reminiscent of their offensive exploits at the Conference USA tournament last month in Greenville, N.C., the Owls pounded out their second consecutive College World Series victory, bashing third-seeded North Carolina 14-4 on Sunday before a crowd of 22,602.
The third-seeded Tar Heels, whose come-from-behind style had lifted them into a winners’ bracket game against No. 2 Rice, were thumped 14-4 by the Owls at windy Rosenblatt Stadium.
“It was a matter of time,” said Tar Heels coach Mike Fox, whose team had won five postseason games after falling behind by two runs. This time, North Carolina was unable to recover from a six-run second inning by the Owls (56-12).
