Wake Forest 8 Maryland 6

Garrett Bullock pitched 7.2 innings while allowing 12 hits but kept the Terps off the board until the eighth inning to give the Demon Deacons an 8-6 victory. Allan Dykstra and Evan Ochetree each went 2-4 with 3 RBIs. Maryland will try to steal a game tomorrow when they face off against Wake Forest in the series finale at 1 pm.

Miami 5 Georgia Tech 2

Mark Sobolewski hit a three run homer in the bottom of the eleventh inning to walk-off with the victory over Georgia Tech 5-2. Blake Tekotte led the Canes offense by getting three hits on the afternoon. Matt Wieters and Michael Fisher were the only Jackets with two hits in the game. Dennis Raben picked up his first victory for the Hurricanes while Danny Payne picked up the loss.

Clemson 6 Virginia Tech 3 (resumption of 4/6 game)

The Clemson Tigers and Virginia Tech Hokies completed their suspended game with Clemson coming out victorious with a 6-3 victory. Matt Vaughn got the victory by going the last five innings in relief of Daniel Moskos. Vaughn picks up his third victory without a loss on the season. Greg Fryman gets the loss to drop his record to 2-5. He let up five runs in five innings.

Clemson 8 Virginia Tech 5

David Kopp led the Tigers to an 8-5 victory over Virginia Tech by going seven innings while allowing five hits and two runs to up his record to 4-2. Andrew Wells got the loss for Virginia Tech by giving up five runs (three earned) in 6.1 innings. Taylor Harbin picked up two hits and two RBIs to lead the Tigers offense. The teams will play Game 3 on Sunday and Virginia Tech will try to get at least a game from the weekend set.

Duke 13 Virginia 9

The Duke Blue Devils used a 17 hit attack to knock off the third ranked Virginia Cavaliers 13-9. The Blue Devils were led on offense by Brett Bartles who went 3-6 with five RBIs. Nate Freiman went 3-5 with 2 RBIs in support of Bartles. Sean Doolittle, Greg Miclat, and Brandon Guyer all had two hits in the loss. Duke starter Tony Bajoczky goes to 6-2 with the win while Matt Packer goes to 3-2.

NC State 8 Florida State 6

NC State used a six run third inning to take control of Game 2 of their weekend set with the Florida State Seminoles. Andrew Brackman started for the Wolfpack (only 2 earned) continued his recent struggles in which he pitched seven innings while giving up five runs. Eryk McConnell picked up his eighth save by going the final two innings while allowing a run. Michael Hyde started for Florida State but only lasted 2.2 innings giving up six runs (only one earned) to drop his record to 8-2 which is his second consecutive loss.

UNC 7 Boston College 2 (Game 1)

UNC leads Boston College 6-1 heading into the top of the ninth in Game 2 of the doubleheader on Saturday. The teams will finish the game before Game 3 on Sunday.
