Southern Miss takes Rubber Game

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles won the series finale 1-0 on Sunday to knock off the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns in two out of three games this weekend. On Sunday, Southern Miss used a complete game shutout by David Clark to pick up the victory. The Southern Miss offense was held scoreless until the bottom of the ninth though when Drew Carson drove home Bailey Hartel with two outs in the ninth to bring in the winning run. On Saturday, Louisiana-Lafayette picked up a 4-0 victory and on Friday night Southern Miss pulled out a 7-4 win.
