South Carolina silences Clemson

The South Carolina Gamecocks pulled out a 12-0 victory over the Clemson Tigers on Saturday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. The Gamecocks did it behind great pitching from Harris Honeycutt who worked a magical seven innings while only allowing three hits. Phil Disher and James Darnell each hit three run homers to lead the Gamecocks offense. Clemson is still playing without shortstop Stan Widmann who is nursing a neck injury which might cost him the entire season or even his career. The teams will on Sunday in Columbia to finish the brief two game set this weekend.

USC looked great this weekend, Clemson had it chances on Sunday but South Carolina was just too good.
