In the final day of action at the Coca-Cola Southern Miss Baseball Classic both Southern Mississippi and Southern Illinois were able to pick up victories. Southern Miss took care of business against Northwestern State by a score of 10-7. They were led by a solid hitting attack from Brian Dozier who went 3-4 at the plate. Southern Illinois won the game in the 13th behind RBI hits by Tyler Choate and Micheal Finigan. Louisville tried to make a comeback in the bottom of the 13th but were unable to produce the two runs needed.
